and I'm over here with the 80's quartz Seiko my dad gave me. Love this watch, wouldn't trade it for anything.

Kinja'd!!!

Also, before anybody points out that I have it on the "wrong wrist" (happens sometimes), I'm left–handed and I find it incredibly annoying to have a watch on my wrist when writing, so I always wear them on the right side.

if you are left handed, than that is absolutely the correct wrist. I think I am going to order a seiko here in a little bit. They seem like a great deal for their quality. I'm looking at an snk807

That's what I tell everybody who says that! I don't know anything about the newer Seikos, but I have a ton of vintage ones, mostly 80s. My grandparents owned a jewelry store until that time, and recently I got quite a few of the watches they had when they retired (none of the fancy stuff). They'd been sitting for the better part of 25 years, and all of the Seikos fired right up and have worked flawlessly ever since.

My old man loves the Rollies. Had his stainless Sub since I was a kid and more recently a gold GMT. I had hinted at wanting the Sub as a hand-me-down but got the old "I still use it when I cut the grass or wash the cars"... Lol.

I more recently started saving for my own Sub to replace my old Victorinox Swiss Army until I got onto the NATO watch strap bandwagon. All kind of different colours/combinations for $15/piece. Easy to switch out so I have many different ones so I can accessorize my old watch with what I am wearing on any given day. Love them. And now that I'm not saving for a Sub I was able to divert those funds to a nice pre-owned BMW E92!

Love the NATO straps as well, especially in the summer. I have a plain silver Bulova with a white face that has a very subtle diamond pattern (nothing fancy—just wanted something besides the Timex Weekender everybody else seems to have) that I like to use with them.

Also, how do you like the Victorinox? I've been thinking about getting a watch or a knife or something while I'm here as a memento, and those are much closer to my price range than a Rolex or something similar.

I'm right handed and I still wear watches on my right hand. It's just how I do things.

I've had this watch for close to ten years and it hasn't missed a beat. I wear it in the office and out on the plant floor and it has withstood the abuse well. The case is pretty scratched up but hell, I consider that character...

I'm left handed and always wear my watch on my right wrist. I couldn't imagine it any other way.

I think this but with red hands/ticks will be my next watch. This
